USDA-ARS Research Entomologist Position: Minimizing pollinator exposure to pesticides

The USDA Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) is hiring a Research Entomologist to join the Southern Horticultural Research Unit (SHRU) at the Thad Cochran Southern Horticultural Laboratory (TCSHL) in Poplarville, MS.

The position will involve basic and applied research on minimizing exposure of honey bee hives and native bee pollinators to row crop, nursery, small fruit, and turfgrass pesticides in the United States. This includes pesticides applied in the landscape that honey bees and native bees may encounter during pollination as well as miticides and insecticides applied within the hives to control varroa mites, wax moths, and small hive beetles.
